Restorative yoga CPD: Including restorative poses in your classes or self practice

Restorative yoga CPD with Katie G and Bridget

Open to yoga teachers, yoga teachers, movement practitioners, carers, wellness professionals and therapists

In simple terms, restorative yoga reduces the amount of input to your nervous system.

Rest is a revolution in our productive society, where we are often over tired and over stimulated, sometimes hovering on the edge of burnout, practicing and sharing restorative yoga can be a powerful way to make space and create space for others, not only to rest but to spend time in a non-productive way.  We can allow ourselves and those we share lives or practice with to be quiet, turn inward and reconnect. It’s a wonderful counter to a vinyasa practice filled with speed, poses, music and voice - here we can all be quiet together - holding space for less speech, fewer poses and slower breath.

At Every Body Studio, our restorative classes are some of our busiest, and we often get requests for a longer savasana at the end of the class. In our time together we will dive deep into a restorative practice as well as explore what it means to hold space for ourselves and for others, how to create boundaries in order to give ourselves rest.

This 6h long workshop will give you the tools to incorporate poses into your class and your self practice, with and without props.

Explore sequencing of restorative, how to build a practice and also you will leave with your own sequence that you can adapt and use.

8th June 3-6pm and 9th June 3-6pm

It’s something she loves to practice and it has greatly shaped her approach to teaching movement and how she holds space.
