with Kaite McNeil
As we move towards winter, Katie invites you to slow down, connect to a quieter practice, and nurture the body and mind with breath and Yin Yoga. Winter brings us an opportunity to pause, use the stillness to reflect, and embrace the colder yin side of practice.
This workshop is designed to help you create space to breathe with Pranayama (breathwork), move through a Yin Yoga sequence based on the element of water, and then invite deep rest with meditation into Savasana.

We breathe every day, but how much do we focus on the breath itself? The breath can have a profound effect on the mind and body, especially when practised alongside other modalities. We might even think of it as a superpower. In this workshop, we will use ‘Just Breathe’ techniques to help us understand the breath, create more space to breathe into and move through a sequence of down regulation practices.
Yin Yoga is a quiet, mostly still practice of yoga practiced mostly close to the mat. Postures are held for one to five minutes with the intention to stimulate and release areas of the body and to help strengthen and lengthen the deep tissues of the body. Yin is inspired by traditional Chinese medicine and focuses on moving chi or energy around the body. For this practice, we will be looking at the element of water and the energetic lines of the Kidney and Bladder meridians. Inviting the awareness of breathing into the practice to help deepen the experience.
All levels and experience are welcome.
*There is an opt-in option for hands-on adjustments during the practice. This is very optional. The adjustments that are offered will be explained each time, with space to opt in or out.
