The aim of Compassionate Rest is to create a sanctuary for individuals seeking non-judgmental deep relaxation, connection with their heart, rejuvenation, and inner peace. Through a blend of gentle somatic release, mindful movement meditation centered in the heart wisdom, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra (yogic sleep), participants are guided to connect with the wisdom of their hearts, cultivating self-compassion, self-love, and profound relaxation.

This workshop offers an inclusive and accessible space to those who wish to nurture a deeper connection with themselves, explore heart-centered awareness, and experience the power of deep rest. No prior experience in yoga or meditation is necessary.

Full Description

Compassionate Rest offers a harmonious blend of healing practices designed to calm your mind, nurture your body and heart, and soothe your soul. It provides a safe, welcoming environment where you can unwind and restore your inner balance with care and compassion.

 Somatic Movement and Meditation

This practice combines a gentle somatic exploration with meditation to enhance body awareness, breath connection, and heart-centered present. This practices encourages a gentle somatic release and guidance to heart- centered presence.

 Restorative Yoga

A deeply relaxing practice featuring long-held, prop-supported poses that allow your body to surrender into therapeutic rest. This practice encourages physical relaxation, emotional release and nervous system regulation.

 Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep)

A deeply restorative guided meditation technique themed to the workshops, that invites you into a state of relaxed awareness and self-compassion. Yoga Nidra provides the rejuvenating benefits of deep rest, where 15 minutes of practice is equivalent to an hour of sleep. This practice helps quiet the mind, access the subconscious, and promote profound relaxation.

Sara uses an integrative approach to wellness in her offerings from experience and knowledge in Yoga, Mindfulness, Mind-Body Healing and Nervous System Regulation. Sara's mission is to guide students on a healing journey from the inside out by incorporating mindfulness, accessible and inclusive yoga in her classes. She aims to inspire and support people in connecting with their bodies, fostering acceptance, easing physical and emotional tension, and enhancing overall mental and physical health. Sara is dedicated to helping individuals live holistic, happier lives despite lives challenges, promoting greater wellbeing, kindness, and resilience.
