After a successful sold-out workshop in April, Sara decided to extend this workshop into a series to give students the opportunity to learn more and to explore different parts of the body. She will be hosting two more workshops on the 29th of May and the 3rd of July.
Sara has been using Myofascial Release, Yoga and Meditation/Mindfulness for many years as a way of managing pain and her relationship with it, to enhance recovery and improve her wellbeing.
She will take you through a 2h session that will include a grounding meditation practice with breathwork and body awareness and a slow intuitive yoga flow. You will then explore Myofascial release.
Myofascial release is a form of pressure massage, that helps to break down ‘sticky’ fascia and tension in muscles. You will learn how to use self-myofascial release techniques, with balls, blocks and blankets, to help with range of motion, injuries, scar tissues, tension, muscle recovery and function, connect you with your body and help you to de-stress, and to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes recover, relaxation, sleep and digestion.
The workshop will finish with a small Yin and Restorative yoga practice and relaxation to nurture you and to help you to end the week fully restored.
Props will be provided in the studio. If you are joining from home, you will need 1-2 tennis balls (recommended) or at least a pair of socks that you can fold, a yoga block, a blanket and pillows.
